About the Role
The Maintenance Mechanic B will proactively troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production and plant support equipment. Duties are performed in a high volume, manufacturing environment where individuals are involved with overhauling equipment and the installation of new equipment.
Responsibilities:
Performs scheduled preventative maintenance and repairs of production equipment.
Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production
Maintains preventative maintenance records
Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs.
Programs/troubleshoot PLC and operator interface panels and program variable frequency drives.
Provide line support for changeovers by understanding total process layouts and be able to maximize
Efficiency through optimal interface.
Implement projects for line improvements.
Other Duties as assigned.
Requirements
Preventive maintenance, repair and adjustment of filling conveying, packaging, palletizing, and auxiliary equipment experience.
Previous maintenance experience in a food or beverage production environment.
Technical knowledge of production related equipment with maintenance experience with production equipment.
Technical skills must include electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, welding, and PLC.
Must possess an ability to fabricate, weld and cutting
Experience in using machinist measuring tools.
Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals (mechanical and electrical).
Technical education is a plus.
Bilingual spanish is a plus.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two-three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
