About the Role

The Performance Improvement Program Manager, reporting to the Plant Manager, will develop and lead the performance improvement program for the site. The PI Program Manager will be responsible for driving a culture of performance improvement and operational excellence to all areas of the site. This includes defining the strategy for the site in development and execution of performance standards, best practices and being a hands-on servant leader to enable change management in the plant. The PI Program Manager must be a change catalyst with strong communication and time management skills and an ability to quickly flow between strategic thinking and tactical coaching and execution.

• Owns and manages the Performance Improvement Program in the site ensuring adoption of systems and culture, integration across departments, and delivery of all results areas (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Morale).
• Acts as an internal partner for the site to lead, define, develop, and coach performance improvement activities to drive improvement in all result areas and KPI’s.
• Is a partner, coach, and mentor to site leaders and teams in Safety, Quality, Autonomous Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, Organization, and Education and Training.
• Owns and manages problem-solving capability, tools, and strategy across the site as well as coaching the execution and countermeasures implementation and driving action plans.
• Support and leads problem-solving efforts to improve safety, quality, and eliminate waste/cost.
• Conducts regular audits and health checks of the Performance Improvement Program.
• Identifies and leverages best practices across the plant and shares broadly across Tropicale’s Network to improve standards and guidelines.
• Coordinates with maintenance associates and line operators for dismantling of production lines and equipment in preparation for cleaning;
• Cleans the floors keeping them free of debris, and thoroughly rinsed;
• Cleans air lines and hoses that feed the lines;
• Oversees the removal of production waste (garbage and render);
• Responsible to maintain good records including down time;
• Understand the mechanics of the packaging equipment;
• Keep area clean, follow GMP's and comply with all safety regulations.
• Must be able to communicate with supervisors, co-workers and other departments.
• Must be able to use good judgment in the event of the absence of Production supervisor or Production Manager.
• Safeguards and maintains company equipment and property, including PPE’s;
• Attends all company training sessions; and
• Other duties as assigned.
