About the Role

Background Summary:
Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) is a management process that determines the optimum level of production output and is built upon stakeholder agreement resulting in an approved consensus plan. S&OP planning delivers an updated business forecast that leads to a production plan, inventory plan, customer lead time (backlog) plan, and integrates new product service offerings, leading to a resulting financial plan. The Supply Planning function at Tropicale Foods is responsible for development and execution of the Demand Plan and corresponding Supply Plan that form the basis of the S&OP process.

Position Summary:
The Supply Planning Manager is responsible for the execution of a supply planning process supporting the demand plan representing the annual volume and revenue plan, customer requirements, and supply chain requirements that fosters the highest quality, throughput, and on-time delivery all at the lowest attainable cost. This position works with Sales and Operations to develop the monthly Consensus Demand Plan and then works with the Operations team to develop a supporting Supply Plan. Once the Supply Plan is developed and approved – the Planning Manager coordinates Finite Scheduling at each of the manufacturing locations. Supply planning is inclusive of the production in the Tropicale manufacturing facilities as well as development and support of a Co-manufacturing network, as necessary.
