About the Role
The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for directing and overseeing the work of dry warehouse and freezer associates and work with the logistics manager regarding the daily freight schedule based on customer and inventory needs. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for supervising inventory cycle counts, turn-over rates and directing staff to accurately report data.
Responsibilities:
Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments, and preparing items for shipment: analyzes shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates;
Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments;
Oversees all work schedules and work being done in the department;
Maintains communication with trucking and other shipping companies for efficient and timely pickups;
Oversees staff to ensure accurate weekly inventory cycle counts are maintained;
Notifies purchasing to order raw materials as needed;
Inspects loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications, and seals loaded boxcars and truck doors;
Develop, direct, and manage shipping & receiving personnel and train them to properly utilize all equipment and tools;
Will communicate with order process delivery, sales representatives and customers via outbound calls;
May operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store good; and other duties as required.
Requirements:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Solid math skills and measurements are essential.
Knowledge of computerized equipment
Solid Microsoft Office – Excel & Word
Proficient in operating forklifts & other material handling equipment
Solve problems by gathering and information and evaluating options
Make effective decisions by analyzing information and considering priorities
Coordinate communications and activities among multiple groups
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
Cooperate with others and coordinates work assignments to achieve team goals

Enter shipment information into systems, tools and database
Must be able to work in cold/freezer environment (-20 degrees).

Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
Able to meet physical demands in work environment as generally described below
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business Administration/Logistics
Minimum 5 years of working experience in similar field (Food Industry a plus)
